I got my first set of wheels!!

Minnie and Pops bought me my first car for Christmas! I love it! My favorite part is the horn!!! I haven't quite gotten the hang of going in the forward motion...reverse seems to be my method of travel right now.

Ryland is in the daycare at the school I teach at. It is so nice to have him down the hall from me. I get to pop in and snuggle with him whenever I get a break! The daycare kids all got their school picture taken the other day! Does it get any cuter than this?!?! I love his smile so much!

This was the Santa at A Real Bookstore at the Shops of Fairview! Best looking Santa I have ever seen! The process was painless too...we signed up online and didn't have to wait in line but for maybe 5 minutes! Genius to whoever thought that process up! It was hard to choose just one picture because Ry loved Santa and every pic was cute! This is the one we finally decided on!

Santa also came to visit Ryland at school! We told him that this was Santa's "helper" to make sure he was behaving at school since he already saw the "real" Santa! (hehe)

4 Months old!!!

My baby boy is 4 months old!! He is such a big boy now! He can roll over to his tummy (which is his preferred method of sleeping now), he is eating cereal and veggies (we have tried green beans, peas and squash so far), and he talks and giggles like crazy!! It seems like every morning he wakes up he gets cuter!!!

Halloween fell on a Monday. We started off our day at school where Ry participated in the daycare parade. After school we rushed home to get on his costume, which he wanted no part of. I could tell this was not a good night for Trick-or-Treating! Ryland lasted a whole 5 minutes out of the house before he got upset and wanted me to carry him. We walked around with our friends, the Laymons, for a while and then headed home to check out the candy we did manage to get! Better luck next year!

I've got a whole lot to say...

We were watching TV the other day when we heard Ry babbling to himself! He sure sounds like he has a lot on his mind! How much cuter can he get!!! 

3 Months Old!

Picture participation was not in the cards for my boy on his 3 month bday! (as you can see) I can't believe how big he has gotten in just 3 months! He definitely has the baby chubb I was wishing for! Love every inch of him!!! 

I'm 2 Months Old!!!

My handsome little man is two months already!! I can't believe how fast my baby is growing! My heart fills with happiness more and more each day since having him! 

Thumb sucker!

My little nugget has decided that he is going to give thumb sucking a try. As you can tell from the video, he hasn't quite gotten the hang of it. All in due time...

2 Month Well Baby Check up!

We took Ryland back to Dr. Reyes for his two month check up. We knew that he had grown since his last check up a month ago, but boy did he hit a growth spurt!!! He has now almost doubled his birth weight! I am loving every minute of his chubb!!! My little man is growing so fast! This was also the visit where he got all his shots! Sean had to work and I had to take him by myself which made me really nervous...but, we made it through the appointment! He screamed when they gave him the shots, but I popped his bottle in his mouth the minute they were done and he was back to his happy place! We don't go back to the doctor for two months and I am glad to report that we will now be able to go through the front door of the office instead of the back door! And Dr. Reyes said we get to discuss solids! Woohoo! 

Are You Ready For Some Football...

Sean is a HUGE Minnesota Vikings fan. Being that we live in Texas, not a lot of the games are shown on TV. Since we have lived in McKinney he has always gone to Hooters to watch the games. You know - beer, wings, football...  Notice above picture - soda, baby, burp cloth! My how things have changed!

Ryland has finally started smiling at us! It just makes my heart happy to see my baby's beautiful smile! 

4 Generations

This past weekend we headed southwest to the Hill Country to see some family. My Oma and Opa (German for grandma and grandpa) live in Fredericksburg and every year we get together to celebrate everyone's birthdays all at once. It also gives my Opa an excuse to BBQ... which by the way is AMAZING! This year was the biggest turn out we have had yet! While we were there my Oma wanted to take a picture of the 4 generations now that Ryland was here. It was so great to see family and friends and spend a day catching up and visiting with everyone! 

Nanny needed!!!

This fancy little thing that my nugget is "chillin" in is called a Nap Nanny. I purchased this after I quickly figured out that Ryland hates sleeping in his pack 'n play and his swing. My other option at this point was to put him in bed with us, which in all reality was NOT an option. I had seen this one day while looking through Pinterest, and then my friend Ashley sent me an email with a link for it the very next day. I saw this as a sign and went to Babies R Us and bought it! Let me say...worth every penny! The first night we had it, Ryland slept for almost 4 hours straight! I almost wrote the people at Nap Nanny a thank you card! It is inclined which helps with his acid reflux, which in turn makes it more comfortable for him to sleep! So, here's to you Nap Nanny...thank you! 

1 Month Well Baby Checkup!

Ryland went to visit Dr. Reyes this morning for his one month well baby check-up. We got to visit Dr. Reyes in his brand new office! At Ry's two week check up he weighed 7 lbs. 7 ounces (19 %tile), was 19 1/4 inches long (12 %tile) and his little head was 13 1/2 inches (10 %tile). Today he weighed in at 9 lbs. 14.5 ounces (48 %tile), was 21 inches long ( 29 %tile), and his head measured 14 3/8 inches ( 17 %tile). I knew my little boy was getting bigger! We also had to get our second Hep B shot (which he did not like at all, but got a cute little rubber ducky for being such a good sport!) We also had to put Ry on stronger medicine for his acid reflux, which will hopefully help with his spitting up! 

One Month Old!

My baby turned 1 month old today! I cannot believe it! Time is flying by! I feel like just the other day we were coming home from the hospital with him! I can honestly say that I have enjoyed every minute of this past month...even the long, sleepless nights, with my little boy! He is such a precious gift from God and Sean and I are lucky to have him in our lives!

Ryland's Newbie Photo Shoot!

Once again we headed back to our photographer, Jennifer Zindler of Haute Shot Photography, for Ryland's newborn photos. He was a week old when we took his pictures! While I was still pregnant, I went on Etsy and purchased "props" for this shoot. We loaded up the car for our first official outing since we left the hospital. When we arrived at Jenn's house, Ryland made it known we were there by screaming non-stop for the first 30 minutes! We gave him a bottle, changed his diaper and finally got him to sleep! Jenn did a great job positioning him and taking some really cute pictures of our little man. He did a fantastic job and participated for the whole shoot! Here are some of the shots! 

I am so happy that we were able to capture my little boy at this point in his life in pictures! I am such a proud momma!

We made it home from the hospital and the visitors kept coming! Big and small! We have so many friends and family that have babies that are all just a little older than Ryland. Ryland was very excited to meet some people closer to his own size.
