One Month Old!

My baby turned 1 month old today! I cannot believe it! Time is flying by! I feel like just the other day we were coming home from the hospital with him! I can honestly say that I have enjoyed every minute of this past month...even the long, sleepless nights, with my little boy! He is such a precious gift from God and Sean and I are lucky to have him in our lives!

Ryland's Newbie Photo Shoot!

Once again we headed back to our photographer, Jennifer Zindler of Haute Shot Photography, for Ryland's newborn photos. He was a week old when we took his pictures! While I was still pregnant, I went on Etsy and purchased "props" for this shoot. We loaded up the car for our first official outing since we left the hospital. When we arrived at Jenn's house, Ryland made it known we were there by screaming non-stop for the first 30 minutes! We gave him a bottle, changed his diaper and finally got him to sleep! Jenn did a great job positioning him and taking some really cute pictures of our little man. He did a fantastic job and participated for the whole shoot! Here are some of the shots!

I am so happy that we were able to capture my little boy at this point in his life in pictures! I am such a proud momma!

Ryland gets visitors his own size...sort of...

We made it home from the hospital and the visitors kept coming! Big and small! We have so many friends and family that have babies that are all just a little older than Ryland. Ryland was very excited to meet some people closer to his own size.
Kieryn Laymon and Ryland! (They don't know it, but Ashley and I have plans for them in the future!)

Ryland with cousins Payne and Phynlee!

Chad with Cooper and Sean with Ryland!

While everyone was hanging out, Cooper and Payne became friends!

We have had many more people come to visit us or bring us over dinner! We are so lucky to have people so willing to help us out anyway they can!

Ryland's first visitors!

The night Ryland was born, my mom and dad, and our friends Rob and Ashley were at the hospital to welcome Ryland as soon as we were wheeled into recovery! While in the hospital we had lots and lots of visitors come to see us and our newest addition. We are very lucky to have such great family and friends in our lives!

Rob was waiting his turn to hold Ryland!

The very next day my sister Shelby and my brother-in-law Chad were at hospital!

Aunt Shelby and Ryland!

Uncle Chad and his nephew!

My Aunt ReRe made a trip by the hospital and stayed and kept us company! We felt bad because she got lost on the way there and it took her double the time to get there! We didn't manage to capture a picture of her with Ryland. :(

The night before we checked out, we had some friends come see us!

Tony and Candi stopped by as well!

Welcome to the world Ryland Jax!

Funny how things work out...I had my c-section scheduled for Monday August 1st. We were to check into the hospital @ 4:30am and my surgery would start at 6:30am. We picked my parents up from the airport on Sunday morning, took them to breakfast and then went to run some last minute errands. After we ate an early dinner (because I couldn't eat or drink anything after 7pm due to my anesthesia coming up so early in the morning), we headed home so Sean and I could pack the hospital bag and relax a little before calling it a night. Sean and I went up into the media room, mom was in the bedroom watching her show and dad was downstairs on the couch watching a movie. I sat down ready to watch True Blood, when I felt a sharp pain. I must have made a noise, because Sean looked at me and asked what was wrong? I went to stand up and that is when it happened...my water broke! Well, I thought I was just peeing in my pants, but then it wouldn't stop so I knew that it was a little more than a kick to the bladder. I screamed for my mom and Sean started running around the house and throwing everything in the car. We called the on-call doctor and she said to go to the hospital since Ryland was breech. Sean flew down the highway (with my parents trying to follow behind us) and we made it to the hospital in record time. We got all checked in and they started my IV and blood work while we waited on my doctor to call. Doctor Allen arrived around 10:00pm and my little boy was born at 10:44pm! Now that is what I call a fast delivery! Sean did such a good job keeping me calm during surgery and when we were done we were greeted in recovery by my parents and our friends Ashley and Rob (who called their babysitter to come watch their kids so they could be at the hospital to help us welcome Ry!) Words cannot describe the love I felt the moment I saw my little boy for the first time! Sean and I feel very blessed to have Ryland in our lives...we are a complete family of three now!

Lights, Camera, Maternity Shoot!

Sean and I went back and forth throughout my pregnancy on whether or not we would do a maternity photo shoot. Towards the end, we finally decided that we would go ahead and do it because this might be our only baby and we wanted to capture every moment. My friend Ashley recommended a photographer that she used for her maternity session as well as for her kids pics too. I contacted Jennifer Zindler of Haute Shot Photography and we set a date in early July to take my pictures. We planned on meeting in Richardson at a park to do an outdoor photo shoot.  What we didn't plan on was that it was going to be record breaking heat! I was determined to make it happen no matter the temp outside! Sean and I posed our little hearts out (and sweat a bit in the process!). Jenn did a fantastic job with the pictures and we couldn't be happier! Here are a few for your viewing!
